The City of East Tawakoni is located on the eastern shores of Lake Tawakoni, in Rains County, Texas. 

The City Hall of East Tawakoni is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday and closed for lunch 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. 

The City Hall of East Tawakoni is located off of SH 276, approximately 45 minutes east of Dallas and 20 minutes south of Greenville.  From the intersection of SH 276 and FM 513, go east approximately 100 feet to the intersection of SH 276 and Oak Leaf Trail.  Turn south onto Oak Leaf Trail and proceed to the 4 way stop intersection of Oak Leaf Trail, Old Mill Lane and Braziel Bay.  Turn right on Braziel Bay and go 2 blocks.  The City Hall of East Tawakoni is located before you.  The City Hall of East Tawakoni is office to the Mayor, City Council,  Economic Development Corporation, the City Secretary/Treasurer and the Municipal Court.  The Police Department is located in the building west of the City Hall location, on Braziel Bay. The Fire Department is located at 100 Little Oaks @ Highway 276 in the sub-division of Little Oaks. The Public Works Department is located on SH 276.
