"THE CITY OF EAST TAWAKONI ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE."
AND
"THE RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 7.4594 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $44.30."

ET PROPOSED 2012 BUDGET HEARING....
Notice is hereby given….All citizens interested in looking at the 2012 proposed budget for the City of East Tawakoni will have the opportunity on Wednesday, Sept 14, 2011 @ 5PM at the Civic Center, 288 Briggs Blvd. The budget will be adopted at the regular City Council Meeting Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011

The East Tawakoni City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, September 12, at 6:00 p.m. in the ET Civic
Center to confer with citizens interested in being appointed to a vacant council seat. The Place 1 seat was vacated by
councilwoman/mayor pro tem Johnnie LaPrade on September 16 when she replaced retiring
Mayor Buster Thomas. The citizen must have lived in the city limits for at least six months,
be registered to vote, have the time/ability to help with city functions and be interested in helping the city grow. |
